New Art-O-Mat Art for March 2011

Since I'm constantly silk screen printing these days, whether it be me working on a painting or a print series on paper, prior to reclaiming my silk screens I'll use whatever screens I have laying around for my latest batch of Art-O-Mat mini masterpieces.

Seen here are a couple of pieces from the batch I've been working on today, which I think came out really swell. I'm finishing up the rest of this new set of 50 today, and will probably ship them off to the Art-O-Mat HQ later this week.

Each piece generally takes on a unique quality despite consisting of the same 3-4 images I use throughout. The sandwiching of each image, coupled with the constant re-arranging of each piece in smaller groups during printing, creates interesting designs and often surprising results. No two pieces are ever created identically. I probably couldn't do it even if I tried.

Where these pieces will end up is anyone's guess. Lately, many of my Art-O-Mat creations have been going to The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, as they are currently hosting six different machines. If LV is too far a drive for you, check out Art-O-Mat's website for a list of machine locations. Or ultimately, you can check out the Art-O-Mat general store and purchase an Art-O-Carton containing 10 original Art-O-Mat masterpieces. What better way to start an instant Art-O-Mat collection?!?

More Art-O-Mat artworks from the studio coming soon, as always. The goal this year is to possibly create 500 unique Art-O-Mat pieces for 2011. So far, I think I have about 400 more to go...

Stay tuned!
